A lawyer for the family of Halyna Hutchins has accused authorities of “irreparable” harm after footage was released of the cinematographer’s death

The video was provided to media on Monday by the Santa Fe Sherrif’s office.

Hutchins was killed on the Rust movie set last October, after being hit in the chest by a bullet.

The shot was fired from a prop gun held by actor Alec Baldwin.

Lawyer Brian Panish says Hutchins husband, Matthew, was disturbed and unsettled after seeing footage of his wife dying on a celebrity news website.

“The damage your office has done is irreparable,”

A letter written by Panish has demanded the video of Hutchins death be taken down.

“While the damage of publishing that video is irreparable, taking down that video will end your office’s complicity in causing further harm.” He wrote.

Last week, Rust Movie productions was fined the maximum penalty of $137,000 by the state of New Mexico.

The state accused the production company of “Willfull” safety lapses.

The company has disputed the allegations and plans to appeal.
