Scenes of chaos calling on the Kremlin to stand down as Russian citizens take to the streets, denouncing actions by their leader Vladimir Putin

Streets of Russia are being turned into demostration zones as citizens protest against Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin’s aggression on Ukraine.

But those that attended and dared to speak out, were quickly loaded one by one into police vans – with authorities arresting hundreds and urging all to go home.

Demonstrators have been seen shouting “NO MORE WAR” – coming to the defence of Ukraine, with Russians gathering across St Petersburg only to go head to head with masked police officers.

Not even being a well-known elderly survivor of the Siege of Leningrad Yelena Osipova was enough to have police turn a blind eye, with police arresting a 77 year old lady with the video of it going viral on social media.
