The Kremlin announced on Thursday that Russian forces will shoot down U.S.-built F-16 fighter jets sent to Ukraine. They claim the F-16s will not significantly impact the war’s outcome.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov mentioned rewards have already been offered to Russian forces for shooting them down. He stated the planes would not be a “magic pill” for Kyiv’s forces.
“These planes will appear and gradually their number will decrease,” Peskov said. “They will be shot down and destroyed.”
He added that these deliveries will not significantly influence the dynamics of events at the front.
Russia remains firm on its stance against the deployment of F-16s in Ukraine.
