Barcelona’s women’s team are through to the Champions League semi-finals and they did so in front of the biggest ever women’s sporting crowd

91,000 was the total number that packed inside the iconic Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain.

Nearly 61,000 was the previous club record set in 2019 at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano stadium, where the hosts beat Barca 2-0 in a league match.

Incredibly, the record was broken despite rain keeping some fans away and the game started with just half the stadium in attendance.

As the game progressed, fans ended up almost filling every seat in Europe’s largest stadium. Barca knocked out rivals Real Madrid 5-2, advancing 8-3 on aggregrate.
