The New Zealand government has revealed its ‘wellbeing’ budget.

The focus is on lifting welfare benefit rates and billions of dollars of funding towards rising inequality, housing and climate.

Budget papers say New Zealand’s economy has “rebounded with robust growth” from the peak of the pandemic.
