New details have been released about the Queen’s funeral on Monday September 19

It’s now been revealed Queen Elizabeth II made a number of her own personal additions to plans for the day of her funeral.

The state funeral will be one of Britain’s biggest events since World War Two.

The music and readings selected for the occasion are expected to reflect the Queen’s personality and taste.

A national two-minute silence will be held as the service concludes.

Numerous world leaders and dignitaries will be in attendance, including U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron.

There will also be 200 people who have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

The Duke of Norfolk is the official organiser of the day’s events and says his role is “both humbling and daunting”.

On the other side of the Atlantic, leaders gathered at the U.N. headquarters in New York to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth.

Secretary general, Antonio Guterres says Her Majesty was “an anchor of stability across decades of often turbulent history.”
