U.S. President Joe Biden has told a group of U.S. Troops based in the UK that he will be willing to call out Russian President Vladmir Putin over the recent hacking scandals.

Biden says although the U.S. is not seeking conflict with Russia, he will tell the Kremlin that there are consequences for violating the sovereignty of democracies.

The President further went on to explain he believes democracies are at an inflection point, they will excel as they seize the enormous opportunities of the new age.

Biden’s next stop is Cornwall, where he will remain there until Sunday to meet with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the G7 summit and will then go on to meet with Putin.

Trump responds

Former US President Donald Trump has responded to Biden’s planned meeting with Putin asking the President to ‘not fall asleep in the meeting’ and to pass on ‘warm regards’ from the former President.
