If you haven’t got a holiday booked, you might want to grab your tickets now

The price of airline tickets will go up “without doubt” as fuel costs rise.

An air industry boss has warned that consumers will notice a blow to their wallets.

Oil prices have jumped as economies recover from the Covid pandemic and due to the war in Ukraine.

This means the high price of oil will be reflected in the tickets and holidaymakers need to be prepared for the cost of flights to go up and up.

Willie Walsh, The ex-British Airways boss says fuel prices were at record highs, and that “oil is the single biggest element of an airline’s cost base”.

This comes and the US and European leaders vow to boycott Russian oil.
