As the world track and field championships come to a close, Armand Duplantis has broken his own pole vault world record.

Duplantis cleared 6-point-2 metres on his third and final approach, raising his personal best by one centimetre for the second time in just two weeks.

Meanwhile, over at the women’s triple jump, Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas also smashed the world record, leaping 15.74 meters

Yulimar Rojas has been victorious at every global title competition since placing second at the 2016 Olympics.

Her previous indoor world record was 15.43 metres and her outdoor record stands at 15.67 meters from the Tokyo Games.

Yulimar Rojas says her main goal still remains reaching the 16 metre mark.
