The aviation industry in Australia may be booming back to life, but there is chaos erupting at the airports of major cities

There’s chaos erupting at airports across Australia as airline’s remain short staffed as the easter period approaches.

The nation’s biggest carrier Qantas has sent out an urgent plea to un-rostered pilots.

The flying kangaroo is urgently seeking pilots to fly on three international flights and a number of domestic flights scheduled throughout this week.

Flights from Australia to destinations including Los Angeles, South Africa and London are among those impacted.

If the airline does not find a resolution quick and fill the captain seats, then more flights will be cancelled or delayed, officials have warned.

Thousands of people are experiencing long queues, delays, and in some cases, cancelled flights due to the holiday demand 

Travellers in The UK have described scenes of “chaos” after several missed their flights at Manchester Airport.

Heathrow, Gatwick and Birmingham have also been affected by delays and cancellations.

Dublin Airport has advised travellers to arrive three-and-a-half hours before their flight due to similar issues.
