Rising prices have caused a Japanese aquarium to make a change to the menu and the penguins aren’t happy about it

It’s not just you and me re-thinking some grocery items due to the price tag lately, penguins are feeling the pinch too

The animals at a Japanese Aquarium are especially unhappy with rising prices causing a change in their diet.

To cut costs, Japan’s Hakone-en Aquarium has made the switch from aji fish, to a cheaper alternative of, mackerel.

Turning up their noses to the new menu, the 32,000 animals at the aquarium prove to be missing their usual, which has increased in price by 20 to 30 percent since last year.

The head zookeeper says even if they’ll take it in their beaks, they’ll just spit it out.

A video filmed at the aquarium shows the penguins refusing to accept offerings of the cheaper fish from keepers.
