Pfizer will now seek emergency-use authorisation for its coronavirus vaccine for children aged from six months to five years

U.S. regulators are urging drugmaker Pfizer to apply for emergency authorization for its

COVID-19 vaccine to be administered in children 6 months to 5 years old.

The application is for a those within that age bracket to receive two doses of the vaccine.

The company is still awaiting data on a three-dose course, aiming to clear the way for the shots as soon as late February.
