U.S. President Joe Biden says Americans ‘are still hurting’, but inflation is starting to ease

It comes as a new report was released, indicating consumer prices stayed the same in July.

This is welcomed news for the Democrats and the Biden administration, who are facing anger over the state of the economy in the lead-up to the November midterm elections.

The report found a sharp drop in the cost of petrol is offsetting rising food, rent and other costs.
