Satellite company OneWeb is resuming launches of its spacecraft using SpaceX rockets

The London-based firm is building constellations in the sky in order to deliver broadband internet connections.

The company was forced to look for alternative rockets after it was forced to abandon its own Russian Soyuz vehicles.

But OneWeb has now contracted SpaceX.

SpaceX is on a similar mission also building up its broadband constellation through its Starlink system using its own rockets.

OneWeb’s CEO thanks SpaceX for their support and is planning for its first series of launches can take place by the end of 2022.

The firm plans on building out a “full fleet of satellites and deliver robust, fast, secure connectivity around the globe”.
