Are booster shots the best line of defence against Omicron?

US Infectious Diseases Expert, Dr Anthony Fauci has urged people to roll up their sleeves and get a booster shot, saying it is our best line of defence against the Omicron variant

Fauci says there is no need for a modified vaccine at this stage… as Pfizer announces it is already well on the way to developing a variant-specific jab.

Pfizer has confirmed that it can have a modified vaccine ready and available within 100 days if required.

But there is now growing reassurance about the effectiveness of three doses of a previously approved Covid jab, despite the fact that protection from just two doses doesn’t seem as effective.

This news will likely eliminate the need for nations around the world to jump over further logistic and supply requirements to get their populations protected.
