Oksana Kukurudza has been writing a narrative non-fiction about her parents experience in Ukraine between the Wars, surviving as a slave workers in Nazi Germany, and living in displaced person refugee camps waiting for a country to accept them.
This is told in the guise of today’s war in Ukraine, the complex relationship between Ukrainians and Russians and the overwhelming refugee situation in Europe.
