The future of the new Emirates fleet is looking uncertain with the airline trying to deal with supply issues coming from Airbus and Boeing

As the aviation industry begins to recover from the pandemic some airlines are facing new challenges because of supply chain shortages.

Middle Eastern carrier, Emirates is combating these issues after placing new planes on order.

The airline was looking to diversify its fleet by adding the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 but those jets are now delayed.

Reports suggest the airline may consider cancelling its Boeing 787 order completely.

Meanwhile other airlines are facing similar issues, with American Airlines also forced to cancel services to Australia amid a shortage of planes on hand.
