The Netflix employee at the centre of protests over Dave Chappelle’s latest comedy special, has resigned
The employee says this isn’t how they thought things would end, but are “relieved to have closure”.
They will also withdraw an unfair labor practice charge against the streaming company.
Chappelle’s latest Netflix comedy special called, “The Closer” was criticized by some who saw it as a ridicule of transgender people.
But supporters of the comedian say it is a cry against cancel culture.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer acknowledged Chappelle’s provocative language in “The Closer” but believes it does not cross the line into inciting violence.
