Netflix could add live-streaming to its offerings

According to a report from Deadline, Netflix is currently working on a live-streaming option for stand-up comedy specials and other live content.

Netflix told the outlet it was in the early stages of developing the capability.

Live-streams could open up the possibility for Netflix to air live shows as well as enable live voting for competition shows and sports.

The latest development comes as the streaming giant finds itself in hot water with shareholders after thousands of users canceled their subscriptions during the first quarter of this year.
