NASA takes aim at China’s “irresponsible” rocket launch

NASA has taken aim at China after debris from the country’s out-of-control rocket landed in the Indian Ocean over the weekend.

NASA says China failed to “meet responsible standards” during their rocket launch, and “nations must minimise risks to people and property on Earth” when it comes to the re-entry of space objects.

The rocket was launched on April 29, carrying a piece of a new Chinese space station.

After running out of fuel, the spacecraft was left to hurtle through the atmosphere before coming crashing back down to earth and landing in the ocean.

NASA went onto say that “China is failing to meet responsible standards regarding their space debris.”
