Australia’s Nick Kyrgios is one step away from a Wimbledon win after a shocking exit from Rafael Nadal

The Spanish great withdrew from his Wimbledon semi-final against Kyrgios with an abdominal injury.

Nadal sustained his abdominal injury in his quarterfinal win over Taylor Fritz and says he is sad,  but knows he can’t play because he is suffering serious pain.

Now it’s up to the Aussie star, Kyrgios, who is seeking to become the first Australian men’s singles champion at Wimbledon since Lleyton Hewitt lifted the trophy 20 years ago.

Nadal’s exit also ends his chance of being the first men’s player to win the Grand Slam since Rod Laver in 1969.

Now Kyrgios will play either Novak Djokovic or Cameron Norrie in the men’s singles final.

This comes as Australian police confirmed Kyrgios will be required to appear in a Canberra court next month amid allegations of assault by a former girlfriend.
