A Russian missile attack in Dnipro, Ukraine has left at least 25 people dead and many more unaccounted for.

The mayor of Dnipro has issued a grave warning that there may be no survivors after striking an apartment building in the eastern city.

The strike hit the entrance of a nine-story building, turning several floors to rubble.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said debris clearance in the region would continue as long as it took, telling the nation in his nightly address: “We are fighting for every person, every life.”

Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa were also hit.

Moscow has said little of the devastation – Vladimir Putin told State TV military operations were going to plan.
