Microsoft has announced a “multi-year, multi-billion dollar” investment in OpenAI, the company behind popular service ChatGPT

This is on top of the $1billion it previously made a few years ago into the company.

Microsoft has already helped by building a super computer to power OpenAI’s tech.

The next investment will go towards cloud support, and improving the super computer, with the aim of commercialising the A.I. tech that comes out of it.

OpenAI was co-founded four years ago by Elon Musk and Sam Altman.
