Ocean Infinity previously looked for the plane in 2018

Families on board Malaysia Airlines flights MH370 have called on the Malaysian government to allow a new search for the missing plane.

The plane mysteriously disappeared nine years ago.

The families are now calling on the government to allow a U.S. seabed exploration company, Ocean Infinity, to help again with the search.

Ocean Infinity previously looked for the plane in the Southern Indian Ocean in 2018, but to no avail.

This was after the Malaysian, Chinese and Australian governments ended their two-year search for the plane.

The flight was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

The calls come on the back of a new Netflix and History Channel documentary being released, which looks at the moments before the flight disappeared.

The documentary will come out later this week.
