How’s this for a sticky situation?

U.S. regulators have fined the Mars Wrigley factory in Pennsylvania after two workers fell into a vat of chocolate.

A hole had to be cut into the bottom of the partly-full tank as colleagues helped rescue the pair.

After being freed, one individual was transported to hospital by helicopter.

Mars Wrigley has now been fined more than $14,000 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Regulators have labelled the incident “serious” , noting the workers were hired to clean tanks, and were not provided with any proper safety training.

The workers fell into a batching tank for Dove chocolate, a popular brand sold in the U.S.

Mars Wrigley has welcomed the outcome of the investigation. #trending #featured
