Mahsa Amini’s father has accused authorities of lying about her death. 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died suspiciously while in morality police custody.

Amjad Amini claims the morality police refused to let him near his daughter following her death, and alleges they killed her.

Officials claim she died of a heart attack, but her father says there are no pre-existing heart conditions in the family.

When he saw his daughters body before the funeral, it was wrapped entirely, however, he noticed bruising on her feet.

Recently, authorities have been targeting women who don’t oblige by their strict social Islamic Republic rules.

Skepticism surrounding Amini’s death has intensified over recent days. Protests in Iran are now engulfing the nation, as thousands take to the streets.

In an act of defiance, Iranian women are ripping off the hijabs and cutting their hair.

It comes as the Iranian President cancels an interview with CNN’s Christiane Armanpour after she refused to wear a head scarf.
