Let Mona eat cake – famous artwork smeared by climate protestor

A 36-year-old has been arrested in Paris after he smeared the Mona Lisa with a cake, all part of a climate protest

Entering the Louvre in a wheelchair, the man was wearing lipstick and a wig, before standing up, whipping out the dessert and attacking the priceless work of art.

Videos of the incident quickly began appearing online, with one showing a museum employee wiping the mess up and another showing the assailant being escorted away by security guards.

Witnesses say the individual was screaming “there are people destroying the Earth” as he was removed from the museum.

While also saying, “all artists, think about the Earth. That’s why I did this. Think of the planet”.

Now, if you’re a Di Vinci fan, don’t worry, protective glass meant the Mona Lisa was not damaged during this climate protest.

The famous artwork has been unsuccessfully attacked many times over the years.

The 36-year-old remains in custody and has been placed in psychiatric care.
