The European Union has approved a tenth package of sanctions against Russia as the brutal war in Ukraine enters year two

This latest round enforces additional trade restrictions on Russia, with the purpose of making it more difficult for Moscow to finance the invasion.

It will also starve Putin’s government of tech equipment and spare parts needed for weapons.

The E.U. presidency says member states “have imposed the most forceful and far-reaching sanctions ever to help Ukraine win the war”.

And the nations will “keep supporting Ukraine, for as long as it takes.”

European Political Analyst Natanael Bloch breaks it all down.
