JP Morgan Chief skips Hong Kong’s strict quarantine

JP Morgan’s billionaire Chief Executive has been allowed to skip Hong Kong’s strict quarantine

JP Morgan boss Jamie Dimon flew into Hong Kong earlier this week, on JP’s private jet, where he was able to skip the city’s 21-day quarantine period.

He becomes the first Wall Street bank boss to visit the territory or mainland China since the pandemic began.

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive says Dimon was allowed to skip hotel quarantine because he runs “a very huge bank” with “key business in Hong Kong”.

Carrie Lam says there are still restrictions over his stay in Hong Kong, and believes the “risk is completely manageable.”
