Israel has admitted there is a “high possibility” its own forces killed an Al Jazeera journalist

Al Jazeera journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh was gunned down while reporting in West Bank in May

Her death sparked worldwide outrage, including an investigation by the United Nations.

Israel’s Defence Force (IDF) says there is a “highly probability” one of its own forces mistakenly killed the veteran journalist.

However, the IDF is not launching a criminal investigation into her death, and says no-one will be punished for the incident.

Its forces maintain they were under fire from Palestinian fighters at the scene. But eyewitnesses have found Israel was ultimately to blame for her death.

“Al Jazeera condemns the Israeli Occupation Forces’ reluctance to explicitly admit their crime and attempts to evade the prosecution of the perpetrators.”

The IDF said it has finalised several investigations, but Abu Akleh’s family say they are “not surprised” by the lack of responsibility.

Meanwhile, her former employer Al Jazeera has referred the case to the International Criminal Court.

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.

Tom Hutchens, the Executive Vice President of Production at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
