Well if you’re a monarchist who is also a fan of EastEnders, you’re in for a royal treat with Charles and Camilla set to star in an episode of the popular series

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will join the residents of Albert Square for a street party scene in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The scenes were filmed during the royals’ previous visit to the set back in March, with the episode due to air on the BBC on the second of June.

In the jubilee episode, Mick Carter will decide to throw a party to commemorate the occasion, before teasing ‘some very special guests’.

Charles and Camilla will be greeted by Mick and Linda Carter, who will introduce them to their fellow residents.

When speaking about meeting the royals, the cast said they were “amazing sports”.
