Is this the beginning of the end for UK’s PM Boris Johnson?

Intense pressure is mounting on the British leader to stand down as two senior ministers quit

Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced their resignations from Boris Johnson’s cabinet today.

Sunak and Javid both sent resignation letters to the prime minister within minutes of each other, both taking aim at his ability to run an administration adhering to required standards.

Sunak, a long time ally of Johnson, says the public expect “government to be conducted properly and seriously”.

While Javid told the PM he can no longer continue serving the current government in good conscience.

He arrived back at his home just moments ago, with the intention of spending some time with his family.

The resignations follows Johnson apologising for appointing Conservative M-P Chris Pincher to his government.

Before the appointment, Johnson admits he had previously been briefed that the politician had been subject to a number of sexual misconduct complaints.

Speaking to the BBC earlier, Johnson says it was a “mistake” to put his faith behind a man who is known as “Pincher by name, Pincher by nature.”

If Johnson does go, Foreign minister Liz Truss is considered a leading contender, but at this stage she says she is “100% behind the PM”.

Meanwhile, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer says it’s “clear the government is now collapsing”

Australia’s multimillion-dollar campaign to attract Hollywood productions to its shores appears to be paying off.

The allure of Australia lies not only in its picturesque locations but also in its competitive financial incentives.

The government offers generous rebates and tax breaks to international productions, making it an attractive proposition for filmmakers looking to maximise their budgets.

Despite the recent intake of Hollywood productions down under such as ‘The Fall Guy’ and ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’, Aussie independents are still finding the space to carve their own creative path.

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.

Tom Hutchens, the Executive Vice President of Production at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
