A former adviser to UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has described the nation’s COVID-19 strategy as a “disaster”

Dominic Cummings said a series of “awful decisions” led to the UK government imposing coronavirus lockdowns that could have been avoided.

Cummings is due to give evidence to parliament about the government’s handling of the pandemic in the coming days.

The UK has had over four million confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 127 thousand deaths.
