Putin backflips on decision
Russia will resume its part in the UN-backed grain export deal.
It means ships containing critical food exports from Ukraine in the Black Sea will now have safe passageway.
The UN has “warmly welcomed” the news.
Russia sparked global concerns when it decided to pull out of the deal, with fears global food prices would skyrocket.
The price of wheat and corn immediately fell on the back of the announcement.
Together, Ukraine and Russia account for almost a third of global wheat exports.
However, President Putin has threatened to quit the deal again if Ukraine uses humanitarian corridors for military purposes.
