Is Europe in the ‘most dangerous’ security moment since Cold War?

A top EU diplomat is warning Europe is living through its “most dangerous” security moment since the Cold War

This comes as world leaders step up their efforts to reduce tensions on the border of Ukraine.

French President Emmanuel Macron is meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

MACRON AND PUTIN

Sitting 20 feet apart, Putin praised France for trying to reach a mutual understanding on issues of “European security”.

Macron believes the talks could signal the beginning of “de-escalation”, ensuring peace and stability throughout the EU.

And as France and Russia meet, so do Germany and the United States – with German President Olaf Scholz traveling to Washington to speak with Joe Biden.

Sholz is hoping to improve the West’s response to Russia… as Putin demands the reduction of a NATO presence in Eastern Europe.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also held talks with the EU’s High Representative as concerns over gas supplies grow.

Blinken says the US and its allies will push to maintain both energy supplies and affordable prices.

Australia’s multimillion-dollar campaign to attract Hollywood productions to its shores appears to be paying off.

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.

Tom Hutchens, the Executive Vice President of Production at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions joins Veronica Dudo to discuss.
