Iranian women burn their hijabs, as hundreds take to the streets to protest the recent death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini

Iranian women burn their hijabs, in an act of defiance. Women have been captured on camera cutting their hair, met with applause from the sea of protestors.

Amini died while in police custody. She was arrested by the morality police, who have ramped up their patrol in the country.

The force has been specifically targeting women who don’t oblige by their strict social Islamic Republic rules.
