Investors are clearly pleased with the successful merger between Warner Brothers Studios and Discovery Channel.

Over the weekend the two companies became one, trading under a brand new name Warner Brothers Discovery Inc.

Investors have responded well, with shares in the company rising on Monday, which marked the first day of trading for the brand new media company.

The new company is set to dominate the world of streaming services.

It will be led by long-time Discovery veteran David Zaslav, as well as a new leadership team which was announced last week.
