ID checks for whipped cream now required

Published

Are you seeking to buy some whipped cream?

Well, stores in New York are asking for ID for people under the age of 21.

It’s part of a state law that bans the sale of whipped cream canisters to minor.

The law was passed around a year ago in a bid to stomp out young people getting high on the canisters.

It’s understood the nitrous oxide can have a lethal effect.

If people are caught in breach of the law, they face 250 dollar fines, and 500 dollar fines for ongoing violations.
