HSBC Holdings which employs 20,000 in the city and accounts for Hong Kong’s biggest market is giving all vaccinated staff two extra days off.

Hong Kong as a city has had great success suppressing the virus but has low vaccination rates compared to New York and London.

The move comes after Hong Kong’s de-facto central bank urged financial institutions, which employ over 200,000 people in the city, to follow the government in giving extra days off to vaccinated staff.

In other Hong Kong News, Hong Kong’s Virus Panel has agreed to lower the vaccination age to 12 years old
