As America’s elite gather at Ivana Trump’s funeral, details about her divorce settlement with Donald are revealed
Ivana Trump, the eccentric actor, model, and ex-wife of a former U.S president, has been farewelled at a funeral in New York.
But has the 73-year-old is laid to rest, what exactly was her relationship with Donald like and what divorce settlement did she receive?
The pair married in 1977, before officially separating in 1992, after 15 years of marriage and three children.
It followed Donald’s infamous affair with Marla Maples, who would later become his second wife.
But it wasn’t all bad news for Ivana. The socialite walked away with a total of $25 million at the time, which is worth $100 million in today’s dollar.
She also received $650,000 a year in child support for Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric until they reached adulthood.
Alongside the money, Ivana inherited a 45 room mansion in Connecticut, a flat in Trump Plaza, and use of the Florida estate for one month a year.
It was reported the massive payments actually sent Donald into deep debt, and the former president had to secure bank loans to pay his fair share.
Despite the bitter divorce, Ivana and Trump remained friends over the years. The socialite even wished her ex-husband all the best as he embarked on his presidential campaign.
The funeral for the late Ivana Trump was held at New York City’s St. Vincent Ferrer Church on Wednesday.
