How does Film and TV impact society?

Published

on

Watching Films and Television can help us escape our everyday lives. But it’s not just a pastime. These very popular mediums of entertainment influence us in many ways.

Our lifestyles have increasingly been associated with film and TV in one way or another.

From our style to the way we walk and talk to making career decisions we are deeply influenced by TV and Movies.

But certain films also help with changes in our society. For example, the film Fight Club told the story of a man who vented his anger by starting an underground fight club.

Since the film’s release in 1999 real-life fight clubs has opened up around the world—like New York’s underground fight circuit. And The 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow brought global warming to light.

A survey conducted after its release revealed that more than 80% of people who saw the movie said they were concerned about global warming.

Undoubtedly films and television shows have had dramatic influences on our lives. But we may not even be aware, exactly how much.

Trump claims Iran’s military largely neutralized; tensions rise with attacks threatening air travel and oil shipping.

President Trump says Iran’s military capability has been largely neutralised, including its navy and air force, as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies. Iranian attacks have threatened commercial air travel and oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of wider economic fallout.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has faced two attacks, while Gulf states worked to intercept further Iranian strikes. Officials report six U.S. troops killed and more than 700 deaths inside Iran as the exchange of fire escalates.

With global markets watching closely, the region remains on edge as military and diplomatic tensions show no signs of easing.
