Many SME’s aren’t seeing results from digital marketing

For many SMEs relying on digital marketing consultants, the rapid transformation of the sector has seen a rising number of complaints.

Digital marketing is a vital tool for business, but new research says one in three ends up in a dispute with their provider.

As more of the world goes online, SMEs have turned to digital marketing consultants to boost their visibility and reach.

But now The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) is stepping in to address the growing conflicts.

So why is there a disparity between what the client is told, and what is delivered?

The ASBFEO commissioned a study by researchers at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Dr Karen Sutherland was the lead researcher.

The hope is this research will bring back trust to the digital marketing profession. And to realise that different companies have different capabilities.
