Horror in New Delhi after a 12-year-old boy was gang-raped and beaten

HORROR IN NEW DELHI – New Delhi police have launched an investigation after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped and beaten.

Reports suggest the three males responsible for the attack are all minors known to the victim, and one is a family relative.

The Delhi Commission for Women has lodged a complaint on behalf of the boy’s family.

The victim remains in critical condition.

“The boy is not in a good state and may not make it,” DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal said.

Police are investigating the incident, with two individuals arrested but no charges made at this time.

It’s believed the alleged assault happened in the northeastern neighbourhood of Seelampur on September 18, but was not reported until September 22.

It comes as a time when sexual violence is surging across the country.
