Cruise passengers were forced to watch their luggage fall into the water when a hoist snapped on board a P&O cruise

P&O’s Ventura was docked in Southampton when a hoist snapped on board at the weekend.

Lifeboats scrambled to salvage around 20 suitcases from the cruise ship, which had arrived from Amsterdam.

The cruise liner says they “swiftly put protocols in place”, to help recover the luggage.

But some passengers weren’t impressed, and took to social media to voice their concerns.
