HBO Max to remove shows ahead of streaming merger

Warner Bros. has confirmed the merger between HBO Max and Discovery+ will see as many as 36 shows taken off the former’s platform.

They may not be the biggest names on the streaming service, but they include shows such as The Not Too Late Show with Elmo, and a handful of Cartoon Network shows, to name a few.

HBO Max said in a statement that content would disappear from both platforms, as it looked to bring everything onto one service.

Warner Bros. says it wants to find $3billion in savings, as a part of the corporate merger.
