Champion golfer Greg Norman says that the Saudi Arabia-backed golf league is a “new opportunity” for players and the sport
The two-time major winner says he believes the new venture will provide a perfect environment to grow golf while also allowing players to expand their horizons.
Speaking on CNN, Norman explained that he believes that for the “journeymen” of golf, it can be a game-changing competition.
Just last week, the former world number one formed the new team-based, professional golf league.
The venture is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which has pledged to award $250 million in prize money while hosting eight tournaments.
The series listed the events taking place in seven cities around the world, including London; Chicago; Bangkok; and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
