Pelosi believes the spending will be America’s “most ambitious and consequential climate and clean energy legislation of all time.”

The comments come just days after both current US President Joe Biden and former President Barak Obama addressed delegates at the climate event.

Pelosi’s address is the latest in a swing of attempts by the Democrats to assert America’s dominance in the climate conversation and show the world that the country is ready to take a leadership role in the global warming battle.

The bill will include $250 billion in clean energy tax credits and over $222 billion for environmental justice.

The speaker says the legislation is “far reaching” and ensures the future economy is “greener and cleaner”
