Golden Globes to be televised following diversity backlash

NBC will resume its Golden Globes coverage in January next year

The network says it will air the show for one year after facing major backlash over diversity.

Organisers have reportedly taken steps to address the lack of diversity among voters.

It’s all part of an agreement with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which allegedly takes favours from celebrities and film studios.

Its released new guidelines and a range of new voters from 63 countries.

NBC says the voting body is now 52 per cent female, with over half being racially and ethnically diverse.
