Former U.S. President Donald Trump has officially given his first public interview since the FBI’s raid of his Mar-a-Lago home last week

Trump says he will do “whatever he can to help the country”, telling Fox News the ‘temperature has to be brought right down’.

He warns the American public are not going to stand for another so-called ‘scam’.

The FBI’s unprecedented raid on his property saw agents seize classified records, including some marked top secret.

Trump has disputed these classifications and says the records in question have been declassified.

He told Fox digital “the country is in a very dangerous position. There is tremendous anger, like I’ve never seen before, years of scams and witch hunts, and now this”.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump also says authorities had taken three passports, and called the raid an “assault on a political opponent at a level never seen”.

Meanwhile, controversial Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also weighed in on the raid.
