Ferrari has turned to a tech executive to lead the luxury sports car company towards the world’s transition to electrification in the car industry.
The new CEO, Benedetto Vigna from Italy has now filled the six-month vacancy, where the former boss left for personal reasons.
Vigna will navigate the carmaker known for its roaring, high-octane engines through a new era of silent, electric powertrains.
The company say they are “delighted” to welcome Vigna as the new CEO.
Ferrari, which already offers hybrid models, has promised its first full-electric car by 2025.
